  While on holiday in Perranporth I had to go to Boots to get some medication from the pharmacy that I couldn't buy over the counter in a supermarket or other outlet. I initially went in just after 1pm to be told that the Pharmacist was on lunch until 1.30. Not a problem. Returned later on and requested said medication. The assistant took the said medication out of the cabinet and said that will be £10.99. Having asked for the generic version I was told they don't stock it. I was not asked any questions, i.e. was it for me? Had I needed it more than once before in the last 6 months, was I taking any more medication, all the questions that should have been asked. Working as a pharmacy dispenser myself, I found this very unsatisfactory and very unprofessional service. Given that the said medication is not suitable for anyone under 16 or over 60, she didn't know that it wasn't for me as she didn't ask. Maybe the Pharmacist should be taking more interest in their staff training.
